SPORT ASSIGNMENTS: Rowing, Men's & Women's Cross Country

Maria Luz Alcala joined the Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) team in June 2024. Luz received her B.B.A. in Human Resources Management with certificates in Leadership Studies and International Business. In May of 2024 she received her Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Luz was the graduate assistant for SAAS for two years prior to joining the team. She is the academic coordinator for Men's and Women's Cross Country and Rowing. Luz aims to help support and engage student athletes across all areas.

FUN FACTS: 
She is a first-generation graduate.

She likes reading, trying new foods, and also loves  going to concerts in her free time!

She also enjoys traveling! She has studied abroad in Italy, Costa Rica, and Japan.
